There are 3 modes for ventilating with tilt and turn windows.
• The tilt mode ensures a healthy and stable air exchange with minimal effort. Just turn the handle and the window will tilt in. With the air exchange happening at a steep angle, the fresh air will enter and gradually make its way throughout you home, evenly ventilating any room.

• The turn mode allows for rapid and very thorough ventilation. It can also be used when cleaning the window as this mode gives great access to both sides of the sash. In an emergency, this mode can be used as an easy fire escape rough.

• The micro tilt mode or micro ventilation mode is the final addition to the open modes. However, this feature is very handy for slow and consistent ventilation. By letting it run all day, you can ensure a healthier atmosphere inside your home. It can even be left open like this in the winter and not freeze.

User-friendly design with quick and easy operation
Unlike other window opening systems, the tilt turn one requires little to no effort to open and the whole action can be done in under 2 seconds. Also, because the window only uses a single large handle, any operation (tilt, turn, or micro-tilt), can be done in one easy motion. All this enables a user friendly system great for any project.
Easy maintenance and handling
Because tilt and turn windows do not use a sleeve hinges like on casement windows, maintenance is a lot easier and kept at a minimum. It also does not have any lock up issues with any of the hardware and handle mechanism, no matter what season or climate.
Multi-locking point system – durable and stable with advanced safety
With our tilt and turn windows you get the multi-point locking system. In this system, there are multiple locking on each side of the frame. These are automatically locked and unlocked with the corresponding handle positions to ensure maximum energy efficiency and European standard burglary protection. When all the points are locked, the window will not budge from the outside, no matter how hard anyone tries. However, on the inside, unlocking those points would be as simple as opening the window.

Custom sizes

Usually when planning out how big your windows should be, you go of off standard window sizes and adjust what you want to the options that are available. But this is not ideal as you are quite limited with the sizes that are available. That is why we at GLA Windows offer windows in custom sizes. Instead of you adjusting to what is available, we adjust to what you want and offer all kinds of custom solutions. Be it 49 x 21 or even 88 x 37. Although we offer windows in standard sizes too, the upgrade to custom ones gives customers more freedom and design choice, all for no additional costs.

In addition to custom sizes, our steel core supported frames allow for windows to be very large with maximum sizes of 48 x 96” or 60 x 60” for tilt turn windows and 102 x 84” or 144 x 60” for picture windows.

80+ window frame color options

Window customization is a key feature of our windows. A big part of it is all the color options we offer. With over 60 to choose from (including unique woodgrain colors like mahogany, pine, and several different oaks and walnut colors), you have a lot of option to make your windows stand out. We offer 15 shades of grey, 6 of black, 19 of brown, and of course 3 white colors as well as some red, blue, and green colors. You can also find another 20 color options with our acryl-color finishes.

Vinyl Foil wrapped finish

When looking at color options for vinyl windows, there are 2 types of options, painted and vinyl foil wrapped. Although painted window frames are the most common, they do not serve for very long, 11 years at most. However, because the paint start to fade 5 – 8 years in, you are really only looking at 4 -5 years of a good look. On the other hand, you have vinyl foil wrapped frames. The color on them never fades and the frames remain looking great for far longer. This is why we offer only vinyl foil wrapped window frame colors. We also offer windows with an Acryl-color finish. These last for 80+ years with never fading color (like with vinyl foil finish), and a premium finish.

Soundproofing is an important feature of our windows. Although some deem it as unimportant or insignificant, soundproofing window upgrades can make a big difference.
